Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with a compact or SC license and BLS certification for a hospital-based day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with 28 inpatient beds
- Patient ratio is 1:6-7
- Scheduled for 3x12 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Requires working every other weekend and participation in a holiday rotation
- Floating within scope to similar units or facilities is required
- EMR system used is Epic; experience is preferred but not required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this assignment
- Royal blue scrubs are required for this role
- Position is not open to local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility
- Returning employees must have a one-year separation from previous employment at this health system
- Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start date
- All requests for time off must be submitted at application and are subject to approval based on facility needs
- Free parking is available on-site
- Active SC RN license or compact RN license must be in hand before starting
- Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Must provide Social Security Number and driver’s license for consideration
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
