Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a SC or compact license and BLS certification, with day shifts and weekend rotation.

• Position is on a Medical Surgical unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:6-7
• Floating to other units within scope may be required
• Unit consists of 28 inpatient beds
• Epic is the EMR used for documentation
• Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Royal blue scrubs are required while on shift
• Free parking is available on site
• Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to starting
• All requested time off must be submitted with application; approval based on facility needs
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must provide Social Security Number and Driver's License for consideration
• No local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered
• Previous perm or PRN staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
