You will serve as a high-level technical expert, ensuring the uptime and reliability of sophisticated industrial manufacturing systems. This role allows you to tackle complex electrical and mechanical challenges while mentoring junior technicians in a culture that values both results and respect.
How You Will Make an Impact- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on 3-phase electrical systems up to 480V and automated production machinery.
- Diagnose malfunctions in PLC programs, AC motors, and VFDs using advanced testing instruments and ladder logic interpretation.
- Perform complex mechanical rebuilds of gearboxes, pumps, and rotating equipment to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Utilize predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis and thermography, to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities and root cause analyses within the CMMS to maintain project transparency and data integrity.
- Fabricate necessary repair parts using machine shop equipment such as lathes, end mills, and grinders.
- Mentor less experienced team members by sharing technical knowledge and guiding them through specialized commercial installations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven proficiency with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs, drives, and diagnostic tools.
- Advanced experience in mechanical rebuilding of gearboxes and pumps.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
- Successful completion of the Ramsey Multi-Skill Maintenance Diagnostic Test (Raw score 65–74).
- Associate’s degree (A.S. or A.A.S.) in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or Industrial Technology.
- Professional certifications such as CMRT (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician) or CMRP.
- Demonstrated experience in welding, fabrication, and conduit installation.
- Advanced knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
