Location: Williamston

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to ensure optimal use of resources, on-time delivery, and alignment with customer demand and business objectives. This role serves as a central coordination point between sales, operations, procurement, and manufacturing to balance capacity, inventory, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand, forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Manufacturing to align production plans with business priorities
  • Analyze demand forecasts and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in orders, lead times, or capacity
  • Monitor material availability and work with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of components and raw materials
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP/MRP systems
  • Track production performance metrics, including schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and inventory turns
  • Lead or support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings and provide schedule-related insights
  • Communicate schedule changes clearly and proactively to internal stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory control
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar)
  • Experience in a multi-product or make-to-order manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strategic planning and prioritization
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction with manufacturing operations
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to support production demands or schedule changes
