Location: Hodges
Assembly Line / Mold Maker in Hodges, SC
Pay: $16.25-17 per hour (depending on shift)
Schedule:
2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2-10:30pm); 3rd shift (Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am)

Shift: Mon-Fri 2-10:30pm
Pay $16.25/hr
3rd
Shift: Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am
Pay $17.00/hr
Job Summary:
As a Mold Maker you will perform a variety of manual and/or machine functions related to Coremaking such as dipping, inspecting, and assembling (3 or less) cores. You will also operate and/or lock out equipment to clean molding floor and reclaim or dispose of sand in basement levels.
Job Duties /Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Core box mounting
- Mixing and testing core sand
- Bolt threading
- Molding functions such as preparing pouring basins
- Mold spraying, drying and/or venting
- Operating punch-out and related equipment
- Performs melting functions such as sample taking, slag skimming
- Finishing functions such as riser breaking (floor)
- Hand chipping, finning, and wire pulling
- Operates shakeouts, stand and portable grinders
- Ramblast and de-finning machines
- Two years of prior work experience
- Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand throughout a 10-hour shift
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment
- 6 months of foundry experience in molding or backend (finishing) operations
- Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience
- Computer skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and decision-making
- Math skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
