OverviewThe FAP Engineer is responsible for identifying and solving problems related to the paint manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency. This role involves analyzing process data, troubleshooting issues, designing process improvements, and collaborating with the Quality and production teams to maintain consistent quality and meet product specifications.
What you’ll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Process Improvement & Problem Solving- Identify and troubleshoot issues for process and manufacturing constraints.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to resolve process deviations and optimize paint application techniques.
- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
- Monitor key process variables and collect data related to paint application efficiency, consistency, and quality.
- Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Work with the quality control team to track the effectiveness of process improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to define specifications and ensure adherence to process standards.
- Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth operations and troubleshooting of process-related challenges.
- Coordinate with suppliers to address technical issues related to ensure that materials/process meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of process changes, experiments, and troubleshooting activities.
- Prepare reports on process performance, improvements, and any corrective actions taken.
- Ensure that all process documentation complies with company and regulatory standards.
- Train production and quality teams on new process improvements, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
- Provide process improvements to continuously improve overall production efficiency.
- Develop and implement procedures to minimize plant waste.
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
- This role requires full time in-office attendance, with regular in-person meetings and events.
