Asphalt Plant Quality Control Technician

C.R. Jackson is seeking a motivated Asphalt Plant Quality Control Technician to support our production team. This role involves testing materials, monitoring asphalt quality, and ensuring our products meet project and state specifications. Full training is provided, and this position offers excellent opportunities for long-term growth within the asphalt industry.

• Perform asphalt and material tests in both lab and field environments
• Monitor plant production to ensure quality standards are met
• Collect asphalt samples and conduct density testing, including core samples
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily quality reports
• Work closely with plant teams, inspectors, and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong math skills
• 1–3 years of asphalt testing experience preferred (not required)
• HMA Level 1 and Asphalt Roadway Technician certifications, or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to work independently or with a team
• Willingness to work weekends and/or nights as needed
