About the roleAs a Machinist with the Westinghouse Welding and Machining team, you will program, set up and operate various equipment in the fabrication shop. This will include CNC equipment, milling machines and lathes. In the execution of your work, you will read and interpret blueprint and mechanical drawings. You will report to the Senior Manufacturing Supervisor and be located at our Manning, SC facility.
This is an anchor position that is required on site five days a week.
- Program, set up and operate CNC equipment, milling machines and lathes
- Interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Maintain equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
- Experience drilling, boring, turning, grinding operations
- Have strong mechanical aptitude, and experience with precision measuring instruments.
