Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, shipping and receiving area, or yard by performing the following duties.

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.
• Operates a fork truck or other material‑handling vehicle to load, unload, or move materials.
• Loads or unloads materials to or from trucks in the shipping and receiving area.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Counts, weighs, and records materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
• Operates an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

High school education or up to one month related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to supervision and other employees.
