Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 5:45am-4:15pm with overtime on Fridays. Starting pay is 18.00 per hour. E.A. Sween is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Minority/Female/Veteran/Disability.

What We’re Seeking

An energetic individual who will promptly address cleaning issues as they develop.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • General
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and integrity.
    • Always follow safety protocols and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas.
    • Follow additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
    • Collaborate, communicate, and learn from people with different backgrounds, cultures, abilities, languages, or perspectives.
    • Follow Company policies and procedures.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement procedures to support SQF requirements, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.
  • Cost (Continuous Improvement)
    • Contribute to process improvements.
    • Participate in Lean events.
  • Cleaning
    • RTE:
      Empty production garbage cans into dumpster; check line lights to determine when to empty film canisters; remove excessively dirty garbage cans; remove full dumpsters to designated area; ensure production door is closed; empty inedible tubs under all lines into dumpsters; dry wet areas and dispose of debris; keep exit doors and walkways clear; ensure lines are clean for next shift.
    • Pack Off:
      Empty garbage cans into dumpster; remove full dumpsters; dry wet areas; remove debris; sweep floors at end of shift.
    • Temp Room:
      Remove cardboard boxes and break down for baler; empty baler and place in recycle bins; keep debris off floors in Temp Room, Bread, Receiving and Freezer areas; sweep all areas at end of shift.
    • Line Cleaners/Tray Washers:
      Clean all lines after breaks including equipment; ensure trays, buckets, utensils are cleaned and ready for production; continue to empty trash; keeping close to the line when picking up trash is required to avoid safety hazards.
  • Equipment & PPE
    • Garbage dumpsters, garbage cans, buckets, film canisters, floor scrapers, dust pans, squeegees, pallet jack, knives, carts, cardboard baler, compactor, dollies, metal racks, pallets, dumpsters.
Qualifications
  • Able to work well with others and have a teamwork mindset; communicate effectively.
  • Able to maintain a good attendance record.
  • Able to keep work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs rarely; depending on production schedule, must be able to lift over 10 lbs occasionally within a 10-12.5 hour shift.
  • Overtime may be required to meet customer demands.
Preferred
  • Previous food related experience.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Able to work in cool conditions (45 degrees).
  • Able to be on feet continuously.
  • Able to bend, turn, push, pull continually.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs rarely.
  • Able to reach overhead rarely.
