Operations

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Hodges, SC facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can complete preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, etc.

• Carry out preventive maintenance
• Analyze and effect improvements on facilities based on observations during preventive maintenance
• Participate in regularly scheduled maintenance stops
• Carry out corrective maintenance
• Analyze the malfunction and propose, then implement, the best solution
• Report repair completion to supervisor and production, and immediately inform equipment availability
• Immediately record incidents in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Assist maintenance agents and external companies as needed, conducting on‑site interventions in agreement with supervisor
• Locate technical information and contact external suppliers directly
• Participate in the smooth functioning of the spare parts storeroom

• Experience working in a maintenance, mechanical, or electrical position (preferably in a heavy industrial environment)
• Manufacturing Safety knowledge and application; ability to identify work‑related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment, and site

• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a relevant program
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing and facilities equipment (pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, conveyor, HVAC systems, fire systems, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical (110‑480 VAC and 0‑36 VDC), PLCs, controls, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gas systems
• Experience working in a foundry (Hodges is a cast‑iron foundry)
• Prior experience using Microsoft Office, ACAD, E‑drawing, QAD, and Llumin
• Proficiency with manual, electrical, and pneumatic tools for repairs and diagnostics

• Second shift hours:
  Monday‑Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Eligible for a $0.75 hourly night shift premium
• On‑site position in Hodges, SC

$27.30 – $34.70 per hour. Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, and individual performance. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
