What We Need

We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Supervisor at our Walterboro, SC location. This is an onsite position from Monday through Friday. The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and shipping operations within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The supervisor leads warehouse personnel, coordinates with production and logistics partners, and drives efficiency, quality, and accountability across all warehouse activities. Work is performed independently under the general direction of the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership:
    Supervise daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities to ensure on-time and accurate fulfillment of production and customer requirements.
  • Operational Leadership:
    Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including carrier scheduling, dock assignments, and shipment documentation.
  • Operational Leadership:
    Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
  • Operational Leadership:
    Support production by ensuring materials are staged, issued, and replenished in alignment with production schedules.
  • Team Supervision & Development:
    Lead, train, and mentor warehouse and shipping personnel, including assignment of duties and performance management.
  • Team Supervision & Development:
    Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety protocols.
  • Team Supervision & Development:
    Participate in hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions as required.
  • Inventory Control & Accuracy:
    Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Inventory Control & Accuracy:
    Support FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices and batch traceability requirements.
  • Inventory Control & Accuracy:
    Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and material shortages.
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance:
    Promote and enforce a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

    Ensure proper use of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

    Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the warehouse and dock areas.

    Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipments and inventory accuracy.
