Second Shift – Monday – Thursday 4pm-2:30am. Starting pay is $18 per hour with the $1.25 shift differential. E.A. Sween is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Minority/Female/Veteran/Disability.

What We’re Seeking

A responsible individual who is quality‑conscious, who will transport, receive and inventory all incoming bread products.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • General
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and integrity.
    • Always follow safety protocols and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas.
    • Follow additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor, Lead or Line Controller.
    • Collaborate, communicate, and learn from people with different backgrounds, cultures, abilities, languages, or perspectives.
  • Food Safety and Quality
    • Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement tasks ensuring support for SQF requirements, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.
    • Report any questionable products to Line Controller, AQ, QC, Lead or Production Supervisor before bringing to line.
  • Leadership
    • Assist in providing a friendly and positive work environment.
    • Follow Company policies and procedures.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement
    • Control and watch for material waste, e.g., floor waste and over‑portioning of raw material on sandwiches.
    • Transfer bread to and from various locations using handheld device.
    • Monitor product condition for pest infestation and other issues while unloading trailers.
    • Label bread stacks with manufacturing date and potential freezer dates; arrange bread by date and per line staging order.
    • Perform and monitor inventory counts throughout the production week.
    • Manage racks/dollies in the bread prep area and ensure correct placement on suppliers’ trailers.
    • Sweep the bread/bun dock area floor and maintain clear aisles daily.
    • Record any product disposed of on the proper paperwork and provide to the Data Center for balancing.
    • Keep exit doors and walkways clear of clutter.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)
  • Able to work well with others and have a teamwork mindset; communicate effectively.
  • Able to maintain a good attendance record.
  • Able to keep work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Organizational experience necessary.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Depending on production schedule, must be able to lift over 10 lbs occasionally within a 10–12.5 hour shift, depending on schedule.
  • Overtime may be required as needed.
Preferred
  • Food related experience.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
  • Able to work in cool conditions (35–45 degrees) continuously.
  • Able to be on feet continuously.
  • Able to bend, turn, push, pull frequently.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs rarely.
  • Able to reach overhead frequently.
