Ferroglobe has an immediate opening for a dedicated Plant Laborer to join our mining operations team. This role is crucial for the daily operations of our mine, providing hands-on support in various tasks related to the processing and handling of materials extracted from the mine. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking individual who values safety, teamwork, and is committed to contributing to the efficient operation of our mining facilities.

• Material Handling:
  Safely operate and manage the equipment used for transporting, processing, and storing ore and other materials.
• Equipment Operation:
  Utilize a variety of heavy machinery and equipment such as loaders, shovels, trucks, conveyors, and crushers following all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Maintenance and Cleaning:
  Perform routine maintenance checks and cleaning of machinery and work areas to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met.
• Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Participate in safety training sessions and drills.
• Inspection and Reporting:
  Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs. Report any issues to supervisors promptly.

  Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks. Communicate effectively to report progress or concerns.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Previous experience in a labor-intensive role, preferably in a mining or construction environment.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate heavy machinery and equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and understanding of workplace safety regulations.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditions and environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Performs jobs under varying conditions (dust, oil, grease, hot and humid temperatures, fumes, noise, etc.).
• Ability to lift 75 lbs, Floor to waist, Waist to shoulder, Overhead, Carry 20 feet.
• Wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection).
