The Mold Shop Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, assembly, and modification of tire molds. This position plays a key role in ensuring molds are properly prepared, vented, and assembled for tire production. The ideal candidate will have experience operating laser and CNC equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

• Drill vents and perform precision venting operations on tire molds.
• Assemble and disassemble molds for maintenance, cleaning, or repair.
• Operate a laser machine to perform engraving, venting, and surface processing.
• Write, edit, and load machine recipes for laser and CNC operations.
• Inspect molds and components to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, mold status, and recipe changes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist in troubleshooting mechanical or operational issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S and company standards.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or mold repair environment preferred.
• CNC machining, laser operation, or automotive body repair experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to precision and detail.
• Basic computer skills for recipe programming, data entry, and documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

This position works in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment. The technician must adhere to all safety policies and use proper PPE at all times.
