Overview

General

Purpose:

Be a part of the Business Excellence continuous improvement team contributing to transformational site-wide projects, lead time reduction Kaizen events, and day to day incremental improvements. The BE Team is responsible for coaching and facilitating waste removal activities using lean concepts and demonstrating the value of lean tools.

Responsibilities
  • 1st Level of support in projects as a representative of the BE Team for advice and keeping lean concepts as a focus
  • 5S+1, standard work, and lean design audits using defined Flex guidelines
  • Maintain 5S+1 score tracking sheet
  • Assist engineering teams with cycle time validation and Yamazumi principles
  • Identify areas of production with opportunities to reduce lead time or increase output
  • Assist starting and collecting prints from fleet of 3D Printers (after exposure and training)
  • Collect and upload completed Kaizen projects in Flex standard online tracking system
  • Execute tasks delegated safely, with high quality, and on time
Requirements
  • Interest in manufacturing, assembly, process flow
  • Strong desire to learn (Manufacturing principles, Lean concepts, 3D printing, etc)
  • Ability to keep work area orderly per Flex standard 5S+1 standards, maintain an example of what good 5S looks like
  • Communication
  • Office

    Skills:

    Functional Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
  • Typically some previous experience with manufacturing and lean
