Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by handling and moving materials, components, and finished products to support production operations. You will ensure the timely delivery of materials to production lines, maintain inventory accuracy, and support the overall efficiency of the manufacturing facility.

• Transport materials and components between storage areas, production lines, and workstations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed.
• Assist in inventory control activities, including receiving, stocking, and issuing materials. Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of inventory transactions.
• Pick and pack materials according to production orders and shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to meet production schedules.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including proper operation of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and participation in safety training programs.
• Support quality control initiatives by inspecting materials for damage or defects, reporting issues to supervisors, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, work spaces, and material handling equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, heights).
• Ability to commit to flexible schedule and prompt arrival for shift.
• Must be able to participate in Lean principles and continuous improvement activities.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
• Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Working conditions may include working outside of a climate-controlled environment for long periods of time.
• PPE is required while on production floors.

Walking, sitting, standing, crouching, and lifting up to 50lbs.
