Material Handler / Forklift Operator
2nd shift / Mon-Fri / 3pm-11:30pm
$16/hour
Greenville, SC - Furman Area

Pride Staff Greenville is seeking a safe and knowledgeable Forklift Operator / Material Handler on behalf of our client in Travelers Rest, SC to become an integral part of their team! This person will not operate a forklift all the time. They will be labeling materials, perform color changes on machines, cleaning machines, and stacking boxes.

Material Handler Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift safely to move product
• Retrieve materials and deliver to production areas as needed to keep work flowing smoothly
• Assist colleagues in changing out raw material supplies efficiently
• Verify received materials match orders and shipping documents
• Organize materials in appropriate storage areas based on production schedules
• Package and stage finished goods and prepare for shipping
• Load outbound trucks and ensure packaging for safe deliveries
• Clean machines, grinders, conveyors to keep the workplace safe

Material Handler Minimum Requirements:

• Forklift Experience
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Forklift operator certification and ability to safely operate equipment
• General mechanical and mathematical aptitude
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to work in safe manner and follow safety rules
