Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that advances agricultural productivity and renewable infrastructure. We are looking for a Quality Technician for the 1st Shift in the Quality Department.

You will inspect purchased parts, raw materials, and manufactured items to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met. You will also complete all required reports and documentation.

• Inspect poles at the manual paint booth daily – check per print, issue labels, complete wrap/fallout report, and verify accuracy. Alert supervision when necessary.

• Check and test resin, epoxy, and filler daily.

• Check bundled poles for accuracy.

• Check incoming resin tankers against quality standards when needed.

• Fill in for the Quality Lead if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to use and read tape measures, calculator, calipers, and micrometers.
• Basic mathematical calculations.
• Problem identification and solution evaluation.
• Documentation of inspections and daily reports.
• Understanding of the quality lab procedures.
• Work with chemicals/solvents and in hot/cold environments.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Work independently.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
• Knowledge of lab procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
