Process Engineer - Injection Molding

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our team specializing in injection molding. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement in our operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production goals while maintaining a focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

• Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
  • Develop, evaluate, and optimize injection molding processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process‑related issues to ensure consistent quality and minimize downtime.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and waste reduction in the manufacturing process.
• Tooling and Equipment:
  • Collaborate with tooling engineers and project managers to design, maintain, and improve molds and related equipment.
  • Specify and recommend new machinery or upgrades to existing equipment for improved performance.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Monitor and analyze production data to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Implement corrective actions and process adjustments as needed to address quality concerns.
• Training and Documentation:
  • Train machine operators and technicians on proper operating procedures and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  3+ years of experience in injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in injection molding machine operation and process setup.
• Familiarity with mold design, material selection, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
