Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder with a background in the food and beverage industry to join our fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding sanitary piping systems and familiar with industry standards for hygienic fabrication. This is a shop-based position focused on high-quality, precision welding for food-grade applications.

Pay Range
$30-$38 per hour
Key Responsibilities:- Weld stainless steel and other alloys used in food and beverage piping systems using TIG and orbital welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and sanitary welding specifications.
- Ensure welds meet hygienic standards (e.g., smooth, crevice-free, and easy to clean).
- Perform layout, cutting, and preparation of pipe prior to welding.
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with food-grade standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to shop safety protocols.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
- Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience, with at least 1 year in the food and beverage industry.
- Proficiency in TIG welding of stainless steel sanitary piping.
- Ability to pass weld tests (e.g., 6G or orbital weld test).
- Familiarity with ASME BPE standards and sanitary fabrication practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
Skills:
- Experience with orbital welding equipment.
- Knowledge of clean-in-place (CIP) system requirements.
- Forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
