Position: Experience Detail Manager
Location: Walterboro

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead, train, and motivate detail technicians to meet quality and productivity standards
    • Hire, onboard, and discipline staff as needed, building a reliable and accountable team
    • Set daily work assignments and manage schedules to meet dealership demand
    • Coach team members on proper detailing techniques, safety, and time management
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily workflow for new car prep, used car reconditioning, service detail, and customer pay details
    • Ensure vehicles are completed on time and to dealership standards
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe detail department
    • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for detailing quality and efficiency
  • Quality Control
    • Perform final inspections on completed vehicles before delivery to sales or customers
    • Ensure all vehicles meet brand, dealership, and customer expectations
    • Address and resolve quality issues promptly and professionally
  • Inventory & Cost Control
    • Manage inventory of chemicals, supplies, and equipment
    • Control expenses by monitoring usage, waste, and vendor pricing
    • Maintain and care for all detail equipment and tools
  • Interdepartmental Coordination
    • Work closely with Sales Managers, Inventory Manager, Service Advisors, and Detail Schedulers
    • Communicate daily production status and any delays or issue
    • Support sales and service delivery deadlines, including high-volume and peak periods
  • Reporting & Accountability
    • Track productivity, cycle time, vehicles completed, and redo rates
    • Provide daily and weekly performance reports to management
    • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years of automotive detailing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of detailing chemicals, tools, and techniques
  • Proven ability to manage people, schedules, and production goals
  • High attention to detail with strong quality standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
