President​/Chief Executive Officer

JOB SUMMARY

Our President and Chief Executive Officer will lead, manage, and supervise the overall organization and services of Epworth Children’s Home (ECH) in accordance with its mission, purpose, and values. The Chief Executive Officer and President will assume responsibility for all other duties as agreed to with the Board of Directors. This individual will have a passion for children, families, and an abiding faith in Jesus Christ.

• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• An undergraduate or graduate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in administration and management.
• Knowledge and experience with marketing and fundraising.
• Prefer a minimum of three years’ experience in childcare work, which includes residential group care.
• Experience in working with church groups, preferably in The United Methodist Church.
• Knowledgeable in the area of child/adolescent growth and development.
• Effective in communicating through both written and spoken presentations.
