Welder Job Description
- Perform pipe welding on carbon steel and stainless steel
- Produce welds that meet X-ray and visual inspection requirements
- Read and interpret welding symbols and WPS documents
- Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy
- Clean the shop and perform other duties as assigned
- Follow all safety protocols
- All welders must test in accordance with Fab Logix testing guidelines
- Must pass a 2" carbon steel monster coupon in the 6G position
- GTAW (TIG) all the way out
- Additional testing includes GMAW / FCAW in the 6G position on 6" carbon pipe
The work environment involves operating in a shop setting where safety and precision are paramount. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols while handling heavy materials and operating machinery such as cranes and forklifts. The role requires physical exertion and mechanical skills.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duncan, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $30.00/hr.
