Supervisor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Facility Maintenance

Service Master Clean is seeking a Supervisor to organize employee shifts, train and motivate team members, and ensure all staff stays on task and completes assignments to Service Master standards. The role requires a good understanding of cleaning principles and team management.

• Train cleaners on Service Master’s standards, products, processes, and procedures.
• Oversee staff performance and ensure all assignments are completed according to schedule.
• Train cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts.
• Perform inspections and give constructive performance feedback to staff members.
• Assign shifts and adjust in case of call-offs or no-shows.
• Respond to customer complaints and requests in a timely, caring manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations.
• Use proper PPE where required.
• Open and lock facilities, enable/disable security system as required.

• 1-2 years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, housekeeper a plus but not required.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn; will provide on-the-job training.
• Ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced multi-tasked job.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude; be in uniform, dependable, on time.
• Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers.
• Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual is a plus.

• Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward.
• Must be able to lift or carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses.
