Comm Floor Technician - Part Time

as a floor technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all floor areas of the facility are kept clean, safe and well-maintained. Your duties will include cleaning and maintaining carpets, hard surface floors and any other floor areas.

• perform sweeping, mopping, stripping and refinishing of hard flooring surfaces following standard operating procedures.
• vacuum and scrub carpeted surfaces following standard operating procedures.
• move furniture and other objects as needed to complete floor care and return all moved items to their original place upon completion.
• monitor supply and request additional cleaning solutions as needed.
• ensure all floor machines are kept clean and in proper working condition.
• handle various types of cleaning chemicals in compliance with established guidelines and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (ppe).
• report any conditions requiring maintenance attention or repair to immediate supervisor.
• perform warehouse recycling activities and monitor trash disposal.
• operate forklifts, ride‑on pallet jacks, and tuggers.
• perform other duties as assigned.

• high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience cleaning floors.
• forklift certification.

• working knowledge of all types of flooring surfaces, appropriate care, and proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• strong written and oral communication skills.
• ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in english.
• working knowledge of warehouse safety and material‑handling equipment.
• previous experience using a ride‑on pallet jack and tugger.
