Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Supply Chain Analytics Intern will support a quantitative project evaluating the trade-offs between the current centralized third-party logistics (3PL) distribution model and a potential direct-to-consumer (DTC) distribution model. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to real supply‑chain decision‑making by analyzing data, building business‑case models, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams including IT, Accounting, and Supply Chain.
As part of this role, the intern will also review the TRC‑RDP intercompany transactional process and planning parameters to identify opportunities for improvement from both planning and execution perspectives.
Responsibilities- Shadow members of the Supply Chain team to understand and map the current RDP supply chain and intercompany transactional processes
- Gain hands‑on experience navigating Epicor (ERP) and Tableau to understand existing datasets and reporting tools
- Build quantitative models in Excel to support improvements to intercompany transactional processes
- Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate and improve current processes
- Analyze RDP logistics costs to determine true customer‑level distribution costs
- Evaluate discrepancies between contracted volumes and actual sales volumes
- Assess the financial and operational impact of bringing distribution in‑house versus maintaining a centralized 3PL model
- Summarize findings and present data-driven insights to stakeholders
- Currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, etc.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Access preferred
- Experience building supply‑chain, financial, or business‑case models
- Familiarity with data and systems tools such as ERP systems and Tableau preferred
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate findings clearly
- Interest in supply chain strategy, logistics, and operations
