About the Role
Well-known Columbia law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal. This paralegal will join a nationally recognized team and will provide case management throughout all stages of litigation.
Responsibilities- Performing legal research
- Trial preparation, including electronic presentations and trial exhibits
- Communicating with clients, court officials, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
- Reviewing and summarizing medical records
- Performing electronic discovery, managing electronic databases
- Preparing deposition materials and summaries
- Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Creating and maintaining case chronology
- Assisting with e-filing with courts
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Ideal litigation paralegal candidates will have at least three years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm and an undergraduate degree or paralegal certificate. We are looking for a self-starter who can multitask and prioritize. Must have strong technical skills, including MS Word and Excel, experience with litigation support software, and experience with e-filing with State and Federal courts.
