They are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy team of two attorneys and paralegals across multiple litigation-focused practice areas, including insurance coverage, auto accidents, product and premises liability, employment, and admiralty law. Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegal in a fast-paced litigation practice
- Draft, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents
- Organize, file, and maintain legal documents (both paper and electronic files)
- Manage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, depositions, and client meetings
- Assist with document preparation and filings, including pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and internal team members
- Perform general office tasks, including billing assistance, document scanning, and data entry
- Proactively anticipate the needs of the attorneys and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of legal assistant experience, preferably in litigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Pro Law is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Able to handle multiple personalities and adjust communication style accordingly
- Comfortable working with a direct, results-driven supervisor who values independence and efficiency
- Quick learner with a willingness to take initiative and grow within the role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
