IT Healthcare Business Analyst

We’re looking for a skilled professional to join an operations-focused technology team supporting critical statewide healthcare systems.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the stability, accuracy, and performance of essential health program operations used across the state.

You will support the operations of a large-scale Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) environment, working closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, data analysis, systems support, and cross-functional coordination.

• Act as a liaison between IT and business units to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Perform day‑to‑day operational support for MMIS and related subsystems
• Develop, retrieve, and distribute operational reports & datasets
• Monitor vendor requests and coordinate across technical/business teams
• Identify system issues, trends, and opportunities for process improvement
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), validate results, and document defects
• Support the Data Match process for provider eligibility requests
• Document and analyze agency business processes
• Participate in professional development and team initiatives
• Perform other project‑related duties as assigned

• 1+ years supporting MMIS Legacy system projects
• 1+ years working with Medicaid claims, provider operations, eligibility, or enrollment systems
• Proficiency in:
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Jira
• Foot Prints
• Share Point
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

• MMIS Operations Subject Matter Expertise
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SAS, data visualization platforms, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Healthcare, or a related field or 4+ years of relevant systems/business analysis experience
