Job Description

Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Blythewood, SC 29016 (4 days onsite and 1 day remote – depending on project needs)

Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week

Duration: 12 months contract (with possible extension)

Interview Process: 2 Rounds – Initial Phone Call Screening followed by a REQUIRED In Person Interview

Serves as IT project manager for assigned projects. For non-IT-driven projects, the role will serve as project manager for IT-assigned deliverables.

• Manages assigned IT projects and coordinates with all stakeholders from inception to completion to achieve the desired outcome.
• Works with the project team to identify and document project scope/charter, budget (where applicable), resources, project schedules including milestones and risks, and project deliverables.
• Establishes meeting cadence for each project to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.
• Maintains project team accountability through tracking budget, milestones, risk mitigation actions, issues, and task assignments. Escalates issues in a timely manner to applicable stakeholders.
• Collaborates with others to establish project meeting agendas and produces project team meeting notes, including providing project status updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Closes out each project in a timely and orderly manner, with documentation of lessons learned and finalizing essential project documentation.
• Maintains an accurate master IT project list.
• Produces required IT project-related presentations and supplemental materials for meetings, including steering committee and strategic planning meetings.
• Works with IT management and the client’s Project Management Office to develop, document, and codify the project planning, implementation, and management methodology for adoption by the client.

• 5 years of project management experience
• 3 years of project management experience managing enterprise-level IT projects
• 3 years of experience with budgeting

• Experience managing system modernization initiatives
• Experience working with state agencies
• Experience collaborating with external vendors
• 1 year of experience with Service Now
• Active PMP certification

• A bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration, information technology, or another related field of study.
