Our team is partnering with a confidential government agency seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Specialist to join their fast‑paced, service‑driven technical environment. This is an opportunity to support a secure, mission‑critical organization with a strong focus on technology service delivery.

Role Overview

You will provide enterprise-level IT support across both central and remote locations, handling endpoint devices, software, hardware, network connectivity, security threats, and system administration tasks. You’ll be working with minimal supervision, supporting a medium‑sized environment within an IT‑centric agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, software, and network connections
  • Update and manage tickets in the IT ticketing system
  • Assist Helpdesk staff with escalations and lower-tier support
  • Monitor cyber threats, malware, ransomware, and system vulnerabilities
  • Troubleshoot network connection issues between endpoints and switches
  • Prepare and deploy new systems and mobile devices
  • Perform Active Directory updates, password resets, and SCCM configuration tasks
  • Maintain and track IT inventory across multiple regions
  • Provide documentation, training, knowledge transfer, and weekly status reports
Required Skills & Experience
  • Expertise in Windows 7, 10, and 11 administration
  • 3+ years system administration experience

Hands‑on experience with:

  • GPO Administration
  • SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
  • Ability to troubleshoot desktops, printers, mobile devices, and network endpoint issues
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both onsite and remotely
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems / Technology or Equivalent work experience
