Systems Engineer, Technical Support
Location: Cayce
The Workload Automation Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing enterprise scheduling environments using Micro Focus Workload Automation (DSeries). This role ensures reliable job execution, proper dependency management, and seamless integration across Windows and UNIX environments. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for collaborating with technical teams and maintaining operational excellence.
AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
- Workload Automation & Scheduling – Configure and maintain Micro Focus Workload Automation (DSeries), preferably the .NET version.
- Implement and manage job dependencies, triggers, event‑based scheduling, and time‑based scheduling.
- Configure and maintain calendars, variables, and resource objects within the scheduling environment.
- Monitor job execution, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely resolution of scheduling issues.
- Agent & Server Administration – Install, configure, and support Windows and UNIX agents for DSeries workload automation.
- Perform routine server administration tasks related to job scheduling infrastructure.
- Assist with upgrades, patches, and environment maintenance.
- Operational Excellence & Documentation – Develop and maintain clear documentation, including procedures, runbooks, and configuration standards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, support teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and cross‑training efforts within the team.
- Hands‑on experience with Micro Focus Workload Automation (DSeries); .NET version preferred.
- Strong understanding of job scheduling concepts, dependencies, triggers, and event‑based workflows.
- Experience installing and supporting Windows and UNIX automation agents.
- General server administration experience (Windows and/or Linux/UNIX).
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
This is a Contract position based out of Cayce, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 – $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
