Seeking a skilled Database Administrator for a long term contract located in Columbia, SC.
What You Will Do In This Role:- Part of the team that is in the process of migrating 300+ SQL Server Databases from SQL Server 2019 to SQL Server 2022 in addition to a need for Production Support in the current SQL DBA Team.
- Setup and maintain data replication and mirroring
- Troubleshoot SQL Server performance issues as they occur, including after-hours and
- Install and configure new SQL Servers
- Develop and support data warehouse and cubes through SQL Server Analysis Services
- Migrate SQL Server databases to SQL Server 2022
- Develop database design, development, and management standards
- Consult with developers regarding database design.
- Implement and support 3rd party databases for vendor supplied applications
- Analyze, develop, and support stored procedures and SQL.
- Design, develop, and manage dashboards and reports through a BI solution
- Designing, developing, and maintaining logical and physical data models
- Ensuring database designs support scalability, integrity, and performance
- requirements
- Collaborating with data architects, developers, and business analysts to translate
- Modeling activities are required in Oracle databases and may be required for MS SQL
- 5+ years experience with SQL Server 2019 and 2022
- 5+ years experience with SQL Server reporting services and SQL reports designer
- 5+ years experience BI tool
- Data Domain boost
- Experience with Oracle 19 Database operations
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
