Senior DevOps Engineer

Overview

We’re a fast-growing SaaS company seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure. You’ll work at the intersection of development and operations, building reliable systems that empower our engineering teams to ship with confidence. This role is ideal for someone with deep hands-on experience with AWS services and a passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on containerized workloads using ECS
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe deployments
• Manage and tune databases (RDS Postgres, RDS Proxy) and caching layers (Elasti Cache) for performance and reliability
• Build and maintain fan-out queue architectures using SQS and Lambda
• Maintain secure, well-architected VPC configurations and networking
• Write automation tooling and backend services in Python using FastAPI
• Collaborate with backend engineers to improve observability, logging, and alerting
• Document infrastructure decisions and mentor junior team members

• 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong backend development skills in Python, particularly with FastAPI
• Deep, hands-on expertise with AWS services, specifically ECS, SQS, RDS, Elasti Cache, VPC, Lambda, S3, and RDS Proxy
• Solid experience with Docker and containerized development workflows
• Proficiency with AWS CDK for infrastructure-as-code
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and cost optimization
• Experience with Cloud Watch for monitoring and observability
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a calm approach under pressure

• Background in high-availability or distributed systems

• Work on meaningful infrastructure challenges at scale
• Competitive compensation, health insurance reimbursement, and bonuses. Salary between $100,000 - $120,000, depending on relevant experience.
