Location: Jenkinsville

System One is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter for a long-term opportunity in Charlotte, NC. This role serves as the primary onsite Engineering recruiter, supporting industrial and power-focused engineering projects. This is a senior, hands-on recruiting role responsible for full-cycle recruiting.

Responsibilities:
  • Source, screen, and perform preliminary interviews on engineering candidates for project-specific needs.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for engineering roles supporting industrial and power-related projects.
  • Partner closely with Engineering hiring managers to understand technical requirements and workforce demands.
  • Coordinates site interviews with appropriate hiring manager to select qualified candidates for project specific requirements and make contingent employment offers based on federal/state law.
  • Manages assigned employment requisitions to include but not limited to reviewing, editing, and final approval of completed requisition.
  • Track and report recruiting activity and staffing metrics using ATS and Microsoft tools.
  • Support staffing plans tied to engineering project schedules.
  • Assists in building and managing Employment Staffing Plans by entering information related to employment and hiring requirements.
  • Builds and updates job descriptions based on project and scope of work.
  • Coordinates and conducts re-deployment initiatives (proactive communication with employees prior to anticipated end date).
  • Conducts operational and administrative portions of the hire process (background checks, drug screen, health screen, I9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, site specific requirements).
  • Serves as point of contact for portion of employment process for internal partners at the job site (Lead for processing or portion of recruiting efforts).
  • Directs work of subordinate Talent Acquisition Specialists and/or Recruiters and provides input to performance evaluation discussions.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on engineering recruiting.
  • Engineering recruiting experience required, with strong preference for candidates who have supported power engineering projects.
  • Experience recruiting for engineering roles within the industrial sector.
  • Ability to identify and engage candidates through multiple sourcing methods Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn ATS systems quickly.
  • Technical skills with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly learn Tracking Management System.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
  • Engineering recruiting experience supporting power engineering projects.
  • Exposure to power generation or utility customers.
  • Experience recruiting in refining, petrochemical, or renewables environments.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
