Location: Ridgeland

This role involves close collaboration with the Director of Food & Beverage to cultivate an inviting atmosphere for our Ambassadors, reflecting the essence of Southern hospitality. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, possess a positive outlook, pay meticulous attention to detail, and exude a warm, professional demeanor, along with a passion for the industry. Leadership & Team Supervision
  • Help in leading the team in a positive and proactive manner to ensure that the Ambassador and guests are taken care of.
  • Be a team player in daily duties throughout the day and be willing to assist others with their needs.
  • Lead by example always.
  • Reviews staffing levels and maintains daily work assignments to ensure the guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
Operational Excellence
  • Service knowledge to provide ambassadors with exceptional service.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Actively looking for ways to improve and strive to make daily operations seamless.
  • Fully understand the entire aspect of daily operation.
Inventory & Resource Management
  • Help in maintaining inventories.
  • Monitoring daily supply levels for product ordering.
  • Reviews supply and inventory costs, looking for opportunities for improvement in quality and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
Guest & Staff Relations
  • Handles guest requests and concerns in a timely and professionally, coordinating with other departments as needed to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintains positive relationships with Ambassadors, guests, and teammates.
  • Treats all Ambassadors, guests, and staff with respect and professionalism.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintenance Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Buildings, Property & Sporting Director to address maintenance or repair issues identified by the housekeeping team, ensuring smooth operations across the property.
  • Inspect guest rooms, administration buildings, and public areas daily to ensure cleanliness and operational functionality.
  • Understands the financial impact of the Lodge’s operations on overall property goals and manages resources to meet or exceed budgeted objectives.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensures adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, creating a secure and clean environment for staff and guests. We are to remain in compliance with DHEC regulations always.
Requirements
  • College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of experience in fine dining.
  • Two-years’ experience in a golf club or similar environment is ideal.
  • Prior experience managing a team of at least 7 people and providing feedback to the team in a positive manner for constant improvement and growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours day or night, including weekends and holidays.
  • Lifting or carrying - up to 50 lbs. issuing supplies, inventory, receiving supplies, organizing, etc.
  • Ability to communicate information with ambassadors and guests.
  • Knowledge and enforcement of safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Background and Drug Screening required.
