Job Summary

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the daily breakfast buffet while providing excellent guest service. This position ensures all food and beverage items are properly stocked, presented attractively, and served safely in accordance with health and sanitation standards. The Breakfast Attendant contributes to the overall guest experience by maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and promptly responding to guest needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up the breakfast area before service begins, ensuring all items are fresh, stocked, and attractively displayed.
  • Greet guests warmly and assist them with any food or beverage needs.
  • Replenish food, condiments, utensils, and beverages throughout the breakfast period.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, floors, and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (including temperature checks and labeling).
  • Monitor food quality and appearance, replacing items as needed.
  • Handle guest inquiries or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Break down and clean the breakfast area after service, ensuring proper storage and disposal of food.
  • Assist with inventory control and ordering of breakfast supplies.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to management.
  • Uphold hotel brand standards and promote a positive guest experience.
Qualifications
  • Previous customer service or food service experience preferred (hotel experience a plus).
  • Basic understanding of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fast‑paced hospitality environment.
  • Frequent interaction with guests and staff.
  • Early morning shifts typically starting between 4:00 AM – 4:30 AM.
