Laundry Aide HCC - 2601582
Responsibilities
Folds and sorts laundry (blankets, sheets, towels etc.) and personal clothing itemsHangs clothes on racks according to name and numbersDelivers patient/resident’s laundry to designated areasEnsures that patients/residents clothes are ready to wear, not in disrepair and put in proper placeUnderstands functions of various soaps and bleachesFollows precautions as stated on MSDS for all chemicals usedWashes and dries clothes and linensKeeps equipment clean and follows cleaning schedulesMaintains a clean and organized area; sweeps and mops laundry areaReports any needed repairs to maintenance departmentOperates large filters according to established schedulesEnsures proper handling of soiled laundry itemsCleans and disinfects linen carts as required per policy and procedureEmpties washers and dryers as requested/necessaryOperates water, gas, and electric cutoff switches and valvesUnderstands the proper process for stain removalQualifications
MINIMUM
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Degree preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
On-the-job training provided
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
Previous experience in healthcare laundering processes
