- Graduate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Current State Occupational Therapist license
- Current CPR card
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
- Basic Life Support/CPR card required
- One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures
- Understanding of treatment costs and financial support related to quality and efficiency
- Competency in the provision of care according to established standards, including age‑specific policies and guidelines for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- General computer skills: data entry, word processing, email, and record management
- Leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers and staff
- Effective organizational and time‑management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain proper confidentiality and adhere to safety standards, including infection control
Evaluate patients and assist them to improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities while compensating for permanent loss of function by teaching them to perform tasks in daily living and working environments. Select appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Integrate the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily practice.
