Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)

• Every other weekend requirement (12 weekend shifts during contract)

• Can be placed on call for low census but no additional call shifts required

• May float to MICU or other departments when census is low

• Facility can call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

• 12 hours of orientation provided

• 2 years of ICU experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Preferred equipment experience with CRRT - Prismax

• Royal blue scrubs required

• Epic charting system

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with primarily cardiac diagnoses

• Unit also takes MICU/SICU overflow patients

• Work with specialized equipment including Flotrac, Impella CP/RP/5.5, IABP, and CRRT

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

• Hurricane season response team assignment may be required June through November

Facility:

This acute care hospital features a newly established 4-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with plans to expand to 16 beds as volume increases. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The hospital utilizes advanced cardiac equipment and monitoring systems to deliver specialized care for complex cardiac patients and critical care overflow cases.
