Location:

Full Time.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience:
  
  One year Nurse Aide experience, preferred. Experience in basic patient care, phlebotomy, EKG in an emergency or outpatient setting highly desirable.
• Licensure/Certification: CNA I, required. American Heart Association BLS required. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record, required. Phlebotomy Certification, preferred.
• Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
  Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age-specific needs.
• Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred):
  Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Obtains and records vital signs and reports abnormal findings.
• Monitors patient status and cardiac rhythms, alerting RNs to any acute changes in condition.
• Stock and organize trauma bays and exam rooms with essential medical supplies.
• A variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Responsible for completing a variety of department-specific tasks to assist with optimal department safety and functioning.
