Job PurposeUnder the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the role is responsible for oversight of clinical and treatment services within the facility. This includes planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring service provision to pre‑judicated and adjudicated youth (detention, admission, determinate, and indeterminate youth) in conjunction with the Clinical Director and Facility Administrator.
Job Duties- Oversee day‑to‑day clinical and treatment services provided by QMHPs and MHPs, including treatment, case management, and assessment (diagnostic assessments, mental status reviews, diagnostic clarity, etc.).
- Supervise Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) processes, procedures, and meetings (treatment, isolation, emergency, PREA, Classification) and participate when necessary.
- Supervise development and submission of all youth treatment plans (ISSPs and USSPs) and Parole Board reports created by QMHPs and MHPs.
- Provide weekly (MHP) and biweekly (QMHP) documented supervision to assigned QMHPs and MHPs regarding service provision, documentation, professional development, etc.
- Provide on‑call services on a rotating basis with other QMHPs and MHPs and consult and supervise on‑call QMHPs and MHPs with other clinical leadership.
- Provide crisis intervention and follow‑up services/consultation as needed during the workday.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences, or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service, or social service program.
Additional Requirements- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Critical thinking and sound, ethical judgment.
- Knowledge of counseling skills, techniques, and intervention.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental and behavioral health, and family systems, including best practices and treatment modalities (motivational interviewing, DBT, cognitive behavioral interventions, etc.).
- Knowledge of psychopathology and diagnostic assessment.
- Knowledge of applicable ethical and legal standards.
- Knowledge of effective case management and treatment planning principles.
- Ability to integrate and synthesize information from various sources.
- Ability to engage youth and families from varied backgrounds, lived experiences, and cultural perspectives.
- A master’s degree in counseling, counseling psychology, applied psychology, or social work with at least 2 years of direct clinical experience and previous supervisory experience.
- State licensure as an LPC, LPC‑S, or LISW‑CP.
