We are seeking a State Opioid Response (SOR) Coordinator

The State Opioid Response (SOR) Coordinator will:

  • Be responsible for managing state and federal opioid grant programs, coordinating prevention, treatment and recovery activities
  • Ensure all sub-grantees are in compliance with program and reporting requirements.
  • Work with state, agencies, local providers, opioid treatment program (OTPs), recovery community organizations and community partners to strengthen the system of care and reduce the impact of opioid use disorder across South Carolina.
  • Collaborate with treatment, prevention and recovery service providers to ensure effective implementation of evidence-based programs.
  • Monitor program outcomes, fiscal accountability and compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Support the development and expansion of recover housing, peer support services and treatment access for underserved populations.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to funding agencies and state leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the state's opioid response
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, psychology, human services , or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in grant management, program coordination or behavioral health administration strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery services.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
