Clinical Director Family Engagement Center

Epworth Children’s Home is seeking a Clinical Director for our Columbia office.

Summary:

Responsible for oversight of clinical services of programs in South Carolina. Facilitates the provision of safe, secure and nurturing living experiences and therapeutic services in accordance with Epworth Childrenâs Home mission and values.

Primary Performance Objectives:
⢠Responsible for assessing the well-being of clients and mitigating any identified risk with direct supervisor and other appropriate team members.
⢠Oversees treatment services for clients within the Center for Family Engagement.
⢠Ensures all critical incidents are resolved in a manner that mitigates risk to clients and families served.
⢠Ensures clinical documentation is done in accordance with Managed Care Organizations, state regulations, contract requirements, COA requirements, and ECH Policies and Procedures.
⢠Identify trends and patterns within the program, participate in plan development, and report outcomes to the Senior Director.

Job Task

Summary:

⢠Oversee any investigations and ensure resolutions are properly documented and client safety is addressed and monitored.
⢠Maintain contact with directors of programs regarding the progress/concerns in service plans submitted.
⢠Provide training and oversight of clinical documentation.
⢠Ensure that the ECH model of care is implemented and documentation reflects services provision is done in accordance the ECHâs standard of care.
⢠Provide backup âon callâ for local directors
⢠Provide clinical assessments of clients served, if necessary.
⢠Provide group supervision to appropriate staff to review the treatment issues and provide guidance to address areas of concern.
⢠Provide support and oversight to program improvement plans when outcomes are not being met.
⢠Ensure that clients have the proper authorization for the level of care
⢠Observe and sit in on group supervision of local offices face to face a minimum of once monthly.
⢠Observe staff at home visits, as necessary.
⢠Become proficient in the ECH evidence based model of care.
⢠Input information into electronic data bases
⢠Provide and environment which promotes respect for clients, their privacy, and confidentiality that follows HIPAA regulations.
⢠Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

⢠Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts, to include either aÂ
LPC, LISW-CP or LMFT.
⢠Three years experience as a licensed independent practitioner
⢠A minimum of two years administrative supervision experience required
⢠Two years experience in child welfare preferred
⢠At least two yearsâ experience working with children who have therapeutic needs required
⢠Must have an understanding of children, adolescent and family treatment as well as the ability to deliver evidence based practice with fidelity
⢠Good written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or government regulations.
⢠Must be able to pass standard background checking, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry
