Black River Medical Center seeking PRN Physical Therapist Assistant/PTA to join their rehab team!
Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapist Assistant II reports to the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant II provides optimal patient care by implementing a physical therapy program to individuals based upon age-specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family directed approach. Under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist I, II, or III, functions as a staff physical therapist assistant. Supervises PTA students and provides clinical education experiences.
Patient populations served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric for a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to: neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, pediatric, medically complex, inpatient or outpatient throughout the hospital system.
Education: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, less than one year experience as a physical therapy assistant.
Licensure:
- Physical Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
