SummaryDevelop behavior plans, provide behavioral therapy, and deliver therapeutic services to program participants.
Essential Job Functions- Direct program participant contact to effect behavioral change in daily living activities, behavior management, and social skills.
- Collaborate with supervisors to develop, implement, maintain, and generalize behavior change while following least restrictive treatment guidelines.
- Provide behavioral therapy and active treatment programming in residential and community settings. Submit weekly logs with objectives, strategies, and results.
- Consult with staff, insurance providers, service providers, and families on treatment recommendations and progress. Participate in family education and therapy as needed.
- Participate in treatment planning with the trans‑disciplinary team and attend pre‑admission meetings as requested. Serve as a member of the rehabilitation team.
- Ensure timely evaluation, progress, and discharge reports. Complete daily billing summaries on time.
- Assist in coordination of behavioral programming across all living, community, and vocational settings as required.
- Consult with and/or train staff in behavioral techniques. Oversee the work of and train BIT interns and practicum students.
- Adhere to accreditation standards and the ethics of confidentiality.
- Participate in behavioral research projects with the facility and the Crisis Intervention System (Beeper Team).
- Perform other related duties and activities as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field.
- One year of experience working with special populations in crisis intervention, staff training, and development.
- Conduct of research in behavior analysis within an applied setting is preferred.

- Travel as needed.
- Light work. Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The job is rated for light work.
