Overview
As a PRN MRI Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care. You’ll integrate scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to ensure a remarkable experience for every patient. This PRN role includes coverage for Saturdays and support during staffing shortages, helping to reduce weekend overtime for full-time staff while maintaining smooth operations and excellent patient service.
Responsibilities- Perform MRI scans efficiently and accurately, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Review patient history and physician orders to determine optimal scanning parameters
- Screen patients for contraindications and prepare them for procedures
- Administer contrast agents per regulations and monitor patient status throughout the exam
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and determine if additional scans are needed
- Document patient and procedure data accurately and timely
- Maintain workflow efficiency and support weekend coverage to reduce overtime for full-time staff
- Promote a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
- Deliver exceptional patient care and uphold Med Quest’s customer service standards
- Participate in continuing education and cross-training opportunities
Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
- Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
- CPR Certification is required
Prior Experience
- 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
- 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred
Special Qualifications
- IV skills required
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
- Skill in operation of MRI equipment
- Customer service background and focus
