Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
Minimum Training and Education- Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. ACLS is required.
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking; climb stairs; work indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes; work from elevated areas and in confined/cramped spaces; perform kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and fine motor tasks; lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted; operate with good vision and hearing; work rotating shifts and overtime as required; maintain latex-safe environment; and manage stress effectively.
Selected positions may have additional requirements related to respirator use and olfactory function.
