The Hospital Medicine Departments for the Medical Facilities of MUSC Health – Pee Dee Region is seeking an Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to provide Nocturnist PRN adult in-patient care.
Job Summary/ Purpose:
The Hospital Medicine Departments for the Medical Facilities of MUSC Health – Pee Dee Region is seeking an Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to provide Nocturnist PRN adult in-patient care.
Required Minimum Training And Experience
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN
- Must have at least 6 months of hospital medicine experience
Preferred Training And Experience
- Minimum of 1 year as a Physician Assistant or FNP/AGACNP in Hospital medicine and ICU experience
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
- Currently licensed (or eligible) in the state of South Carolina as a Physician Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners or as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the SC Board of Nursing
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Job Duties
- Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations
- Evaluates and treats on the basis of history, physical examination, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results
- Initiates referrals to other health care providers, and/or consults with the attending physician or the collaborating physician
- Documents and bills for direct care provided
